Gender and Kazakhstan society research book published by Steppe&World with the support of Friedrich Ebert foundation Kazakhstan
Requirements for the book cover:
- Young woman and a young man on a scooter or a bike(scooters are one of the most popular transportation among the younger generation in Kazakhstan)
- Elements that represent gender-based stereotypes that are obstacles people have to go through
- Elements that show stereotypical elements of everyday life of a man and a woman

Drafts below:
The book included 8 illustrations in total for different articles.
The first article was about how a woman's drastically changes after marriage, where she has to be "The superwoman", who completes all housework, brings up children, respects the older family members, cooks for the entire family, and always looks flawless.
The illustration was based on movie posters for "Wonder Woman" and "Kelinka is also a human". (Kelin - bride)
The illustration below is for the article exploring how women characters are depicted in Kazakh literature. Most of the time women characters have to be "clean", "kind", "well-behaved", and overall perfect.
Woman figures are forgotten and not mentioned in many historical records, which affects how the younger generation learns about Kazakhstan and world history.
Women in media are judged harsher than men models and public figures. They have to meet impossible beauty standards that affect not only them but also women in regular life, who are compared to women celebrities.
